Here we present the most prominent figures in Bolivian history .

HILARIÓN DAZA

President Hilarion Daza that many mistakenly attributed the loss of the Bolivian coast was actually an unfair and corbarde invasion of our territory , this president last war retired to live in the country of Italy for fourteen years , after which time return to Bolivia with the intention to clear his name but was killed in the town of Uyuni this is a symbolic grave and buried the remains of their parents are here .

HERNANDO SILES

Hernando Siles it came to be ambassador to Chile and Plenipotentiary Minister and President of Bolivia , co-authored the Civil Code and Criminal driver also rector of the university autonomy and the UMSS UMRSFXCH .

MAMERTO URRIOLAGOITIA

He came to power through a coup by bombing the cities of Cochabamba and mining centers of Huanuni , the revolution of 1952 ousted him .

Died in Sucre the year 1974 at the age of 90 years.

NARCISO CAMPERO LEYES

Born on October 29, 1813 in the village of Tojo became a notorious statesman who came to power reaching harm the maritime claim, died the December 11, 1896 .

 

It was the richest mining in Bolivia third man , participated in the battles of Ingavi and Iruya.

JUAN LADISLAO CABRERA VARGAS

He was born in Totora, province Carrasco (Cochabamba ) , May 23 de1830 . Son of Mariano Cabrera and Manuela Vargas. He graduated as a lawyer in Arequipa ( Peru ) , where he started a family with Petronila Vásquez. Fought during the War of the Pacific Coast to defend the Bolivian one February 14, 1879 against Chilean forces. His motto in war " Compatriots Bolivianos today to defend the homeland the last cartridge so we can rescue the Bolivian territory "

MANUEL ASCENCIO PADILLA

 

Chipirina , Chayanta , Viceroyalty of Peru , September 26, 1774 - La Laguna, currently Padilla , September 14, 1816 . Together with his wife Juana Azurduy de Padilla fought the battle of the rebellion, wanted by the Spanish in colonial times , captured in the village of Billiards was beheaded along with his four children by the Spanish Francisco Miguel de Aguilera , his wife does escape to Argentina . Before dying he said " today our patriots are over ." Currently his remains rest next to his wife in the house of freedom.

 

GREGORIO PACHECO LEYES

He born in Livilivi ; July 4, 1823 - Potosi ; August 20, 1899 was an accountant, businessman and politician Bolivian . He was president from 1884-1888 . He sent in Sucre build asylums for men and women , sold their mines Don Simon Patino 's richest mining Bolivia at the time , donated the money from the sale of mines to the widows of the Pacific War . His mausoleum is shaped Chocaya mines , with an image of the Virgin of Lourdes in France. He died in 1899 , now rests with his family .

ANICETO ARCE

Born 1924 in the city of Tarija , he became one of the richest men in Bolivia , brought the first railroad to Oruro , inaugurated the bridge between the path of Chuquisaca Cochabamba and founded the city of Uyuni , married with sister of Prince of the Glorieta . I died in 1906 , buried in this mausoleum with his wife and some relatives .

PRINCIPES DE LA GLORIETA

In this mausoleum rest the princes of the Glorieta, with carved marble brought from Italy . Obtaining the title of princes on a trip to Europe because of its beneficial and charitable activities in the city of Sucre. They could be natural parents , Princess Clotilde Urioste of Argandoña founded orphanages hosting many orphans who were raised as their own , leaving widow died in 1932 . Prince Francisco Argandoña died August 27, 1909 left among his major works , the Teatro Gran Mariscal de Ayacucho , founded the first bank in Bolivia that today is the National Bank of Bolivia (BNB ) . The castle that housed the princes in life step by the Autonomous Government of Chuquisaca.

GUERRA FEDERAL

The federal war between Sucre and La Paz given one January 24, 1899 , this monument reminds us of these two cities faced by the political power and the seat of government , unfortunately died in this war Sucre students brutally murdered in the town of Ayo Ayo account in which were decapitated and their skulls were used as vessels to drink their blood . The message on the monument for future generations is indicating that this war continues.
